OUR FACILITIES

The student of the ESTO Programme has the privilege of studying with the amenities and technology of our time, in a building linked to the history of the Catholic Monarchs, which houses the tomb of Garcilaso de la Vega, who inspired the legend of ‘El beso’ of Gustavo Adolfo Becquer and where knowledge and wisdom have been cultivated for several centuries.

An exceptional opportunity to study the Spanish language and culture, surrounded by the history of Spain.

OUR CITY: TOLEDO

Located on the top of a hill surrounded by the Tajo river, Toledo retains in its stones a great historical past. A Carpetanian city, the Romans named it “Toletum”, minted coins and built a circus and an aqueduct.

In the middle of the 6th century, Leovigild made it the capital of his kingdom. The Islamites called it, from 712, Tulaytulah. Christian city since 1085, where Jews, Arabs and Christians coexisted harmoniously for 500 years. In the 13th century, the Toledo School of Translators was born and it transmitted classical and oriental knowledge to the West. A favorite city of monarchs (Catholic Monarchs), it was the Primate Seat of Spain and capital of the kingdom until 1561, when Philip II moved the court to Madrid. The loss of the capital meant the truncation of its development, leaving the city for the delight of romantics frozen in time, but preserving the cultural legacy of the past.
