PROGRAMA «TRES CULTURAS: ESPAÑOL EN TOLEDO»
Desde 2015, el Instituto Cervantes y la Fundación General de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha impulsan el programa «Tres culturas: Español en Toledo».
El programa se compone de cuatro cursos que aúnan la formación en temas propios de la historia, la sociedad y las expresiones artísticas y culturales del Toledo medieval, junto a una experiencia de inmersión lingüística en español, pensada idealmente para estudiantes extranjeros que compartirán sesiones formativas en el aula, visitas guiadas a monumentos, actividades dirigidas a complementar su formación y su nivel de lengua, así como numerosos momentos de ocio.
Los cursos se imparten en la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (Toledo). El programa académico, bajo la dirección conjunta de ambas instituciones, contempla la impartición, en horario de mañana, de los cursos. El programa cultural se completa extracurricularmente con visitas por la tarde a monumentos o lugares de la ciudad relacionados con los contenidos de los cursos.
A través de esta iniciativa, se favorece que el alumno pueda conocer y comprender el contexto social e histórico que determinó la convivencia de las Tres Culturas (cristiana, musulmana y judía) en el Toledo medieval, un momento clave para la historia de España. Se pretende ofrecer una amplia visión de los ocho siglos de convivencia intercultural e interconfesional que dejaron huella imborrable en Toledo y la hicieron digna de ser reconocida internacionalmente como la «ciudad de la tolerancia». Todo este recorrido formativo se ve completado con el refuerzo de las competencias comunicativas en lengua española.
De este modo, los participantes, además de asistir con provecho a los cursos formativos de carácter histórico-cultural, pueden vivir un intenso periodo de inmersión lingüística y conocer de cerca muchos aspectos del día a día de la sociedad española.

III.- TOLEDO: ESPAÑOL Y ARTE EN LAS TRES CULTURAS – junio 2024
Curso intensivo, desarrollado en colaboración con el Instituto Cervantes, para personas que desean mejorar sus conocimientos de lengua y cultura española a través de clases de contenido artístico-histórico orientadas al Toledo medieval. Las clases se realizan tanto en aula como en los propios monumentos artísticos sujetos a estudio.
Requiere un nivel de español mínimo de B1.
IV.- TOLEDO: VIDA Y SOCIEDAD EN LAS TRES CULTURAS – julio 2024
Curso intensivo, desarrollado en colaboración con el Instituto Cervantes, para personas que desean mejorar sus conocimientos de lengua y cultura española a través de clases diseñadas para aportar una mirada amplia a las personas, los contextos sociales, los valores, los comportamientos, las tradiciones y los usos habituales propios de las tres culturas en el Toledo medieval.
Requiere un nivel de español mínimo de B1.
I y II.- SEFARAD: LENGUA, HISTORIA Y CULTURA EN TOLEDO – septiembre 2024
Cursos intensivos realizados en colaboración con el Instituto Cervantes dirigidos a estudiantes que desean mejorar sus conocimientos de lengua y cultura española a través de clases de contenido histórico orientadas al Toledo medieval y a Sefarad. Requiere un nivel de español mínimo de B1.
El programa «Sefarad: Lengua, historia y cultura en Toledo», integra dos cursos intensivos de una semana de duración cada uno:

«THREE CULTURES: SPANISH IN TOLEDO» PROGRAMME
Since 2015, the Cervantes Institute and the General Foundation of the University of Castilla-La Mancha have been promoting the “Three Cultures: Spanish in Toledo” programme.
The programme consists of four courses that combine training in the history, society and artistic and cultural expressions of medieval Toledo, together with a language immersion experience in Spanish, ideally designed for foreign students who will share classroom training workshops, guided visits to monuments, activities aimed at complementing their training and language level, as well as numerous leisure activities.
The courses are held at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Toledo). The academic programme, under the joint direction of both institutions, includes the teaching of the courses in the mornings. The cultural programme is complemented by afternoon visits to monuments and places in the city related to the content of the courses.
By means of this initiative, students are encouraged to know and understand the social and historical context that determined the coexistence of the Three Cultures (Christian, Muslim and Jewish) in medieval Toledo, a key moment in the history of Spain. The aim is to offer a broad vision of the eight centuries of intercultural and interfaith coexistence that left an indelible mark on Toledo and made it worthy of international recognition as the “city of tolerance”. This whole educational journey is completed with the reinforcement of communicative skills in Spanish.
Therefore, the participants, as well as benefiting from the historical and cultural training courses, can experience an intense period of linguistic immersion and learn about many aspects of everyday Spanish society.

Intensive course, developed in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute, for people wishing to improve their knowledge of Spanish language and culture through historical-artistic content-based lessons focused on medieval Toledo. The lessons take place both in the classroom and in the artistic monuments being studied.

IV.- TOLEDO: LIFE AND SOCIETY IN THE THREE CULTURES – July 2024
